Whale Watching Highlights: The trail offers ideal vantage points from high cliffs to see Southern Right, Humpback, and Bryde's whales as they use the protected bays to nurse their young. You can often witness them breaching and lob-tailing close to the shore.

Ideal Hiking Weather: The cooler winter months provide a "shield from the heat of the sun," making the 10 –18km daily stretches much more comfortable than in the intense summer heat.

Cozy Accommodations: As a "slackpacking" trail, you stay in comfortable guest houses or selfcatering apartments.—perfect for reconnecting with family or friends after a day in the crisp sea air.

Fynbos in Bloom: Winter and spring see many unique fynbos species and wildflowers in bloom, adding vibrant colour to the landscape between the dunes and cliffs.

Quiet & Serenity: Winter is generally a quieter time on the trail, allowing for a more peaceful, meditative experience as you walk along the largely undeveloped coastline.
