Pondok 3-night Eco-adventure

This 3-night adventure includes a guided beach and coastal walking, and self-catering accommodation in our Pondok (for up to 8 guests) or Kaya (for two).
Both of these rustic, off-the-grid rusplekkies are equipped with all the necessaries for meals and braais, and both have charging facilities for your mobile phones, cameras, and laptops.
Bathrooms are shared: there’s one bathroom with toilet at Pondok, and one shower-room with toilet at our wood-cabin Kaya.
This is perfect for those hikers who loves adventure.
- Please bring your own bedding or sleeping bags.
- Fridges and freezer facilities are available at Sandpiper Guest Cottages.
- Wood & gas are supplied.

Itinerary
Day 1: Boggomsbaai
Check in and settle inDay 2: Point of Human Origins to Boggomsbaai
18 km; mostly beach walking- Your hiking guide will meet you at Pondokkie (remember to pack your day-packs with lunch and water, as well as sun-block, and extra memory cards for your cameras!)
- Transfer by road to Pinnacle Point.
- Caves visit with specialist site guides at the Point of Human Origins.
- Guided coastal walk via Boggomsbaai to Pondok.
Day 3: Boggomsbaai to Kanon
21 km; beach and coastal walking- Remember those lunch packs!
- Guided walk from Boggomsbaai along the beach and rocky shore via Fransmanshoek - a small nature reserve with abundant bird life and beautiful veld flowers, where you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the secluded bay. (The French ship La Fortune was wrecked here in 1763 - hence Fransmanshoek, or ‘French Corner’).
- Visit Kanon Private Nature Reserve, about 3 km east of the Gourits River Mouth, which protects one of the few remaining patches of Gourits Coastal Dune Thicket.
- Visit ancient Khoi San fish traps and giant dunes along the way - and climb them, if you’re fit enough!
- Road transfer to Pondok
