Hi Friends and Friends to be ....of our Oystercatcher Trail...
The Full moon has been painting its own yellow trail from the far off horison right up to our golden shores, the orange aloes are still in full bloom, the Black Oyster Catchers have hatched their eggs on our open beaches and are feeding off the mussels with their juveniles .. and our sea is bluer than blue...
The first calves of the Southern Right whales have been born and are suckling just off shore whilst their giant moms are slapping their huge tails in glee on the gentle swells, just behind the breakers..
Our last 3 hiking groups on the Oystercatcher Trail were
- 2 families bonding with their with kids,
- the ladies and their hubbies from Wydah Tours and Cedarberg Travel...also FaceBook friends...
- 10 mature ladies who called themselves ...The Hot Flushes...and boy...were they Hot Hikers as well...they left their hubbies behind and re cemented their friendships made at school and in early motherhood, friendships that which were interupted for so many years by raising families, now grown up and independent.....and now still walking for another day or two.
'Mango` In Flight magazine is still praising our hike in this months edition...so when you fly Mango..read all about this wonderful world renowned hiking trail...whilst Soli Philander and Taxi Radio did a great story last week about the Trail and our nostalgic Sandpiper Cottages in Boggomsbaai on the Garden Route.
Many of you have already joined us on this famous hiking trail, others would want to experience it at some stage. Whatever the reason, you may want to keep abreast of what is going on and there is no better way than to do it than by joining as a friend on our FaceBook page on OYSTERCATCHER TRAIL.
We also invite those of you that have hiked with us to share your experiences with other friends of the Oystercatcher Trail. Please feel free to load photo`s and comments to our Facebook Page and your views of our trail and unique warm and personal hospitality...
We really would value your comments...
I wish you a warm welcome to our world..
